Mama Always told me not to run in the Dark Viana Afoumou (BE/CM) BE/CM
Mama Always Told Me Not to Run in the Dark is a treadmill-driven musical scene that reimagines Little Red Riding Hood on a ghostly walk. Step by step the piece unravels, the runner runs, the tension grows and the act climaxes with an outward explosion of her inner state. The performance is unique, yet the story repeats itself every evening in a different street. The play itself is about everyday horror, when motherly advice resonates terribly in dark places.
