Ezra

Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne and Robert De Niro star in this fabulous ensemble drama from director Tony Goldwyn about parents who struggle with the question of how to best raise their child. A story about unconditional love of a father for his son. Max, a stand-up comedian from New York, always tells stories on stage about his life in New Jersey, especially stories about the mess that his life currently is. Because he is divorced and is back in his fifties living with his father. And then there is his son Ezra, who has been diagnosed with autism. Ezra's impulsive behavior regularly gets him into trouble and sometimes even poses a danger to himself. When the doctor insists that Ezra be sent to a special school and take medication, his mother Jenna, who shares custody with Max, tends to agree. Because Max doesn't want to know anything about this, he takes Ezra on an unannounced road trip through America, with his father's 'borrowed' car. Destination: Los Angeles, because Max can appear on Jimmy Kimmel's talk show.
