Preliminaries & Jam Bluegrass Festival

In addition to well-attended jams, workshops and master classes, the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival annually organizes a popular talent competition for bands and solo musicians, in which the level is usually high and there is a lot of interest. It offers a unique opportunity for beginning bluegrass bands to perform and gain flying hours.

Just like the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, the Doelen Studio is also about supporting and growing musical talent. That is why the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival sought collaboration and the RBF talent program will take place for the first time this year in the beautiful setting of De Doelen Studio.

The program offers a unique stage for emerging bluegrass talents, with a series of three preliminary rounds and a grand finale on Thursday evening before the festival. The winner of this talent competition will be included in the line-up of the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival 2024.
