A creative place

Shared studio where nine female artists each practice their own discipline. Through workshops, exhibitions, educational bingos, poetry nights and art markets, the STU builds a bridge between individuals who are interested in creation, craft or art and people who specialize as self-taught or academics. Craftsmanship is on display, interests and knowledge are shared and knowledge is exchanged.

The Stu functions as a small academy, where ideas are mutually refuted and the accessibility of machines and materials offers the opportunity to learn something new. Professionals outside the creative sector are also invited, including, for example, an accounting course. In this way, the makers in The STU invest in their own development, but they also make this available to its environment and at the same time allow a network to flourish.
