St. Mary's Church

English church in Delfshaven

Church with neo-Gothic elements

St. Mary's Anglican and Episcopal Church, also known locally as the English Church, is a church building in Delfshaven in Rotterdam. The English-speaking church community falls under the Anglican Church (Church of England), and within that under the Diocese of Europe. However, the church is open to all English-speaking Christians in the area.

The current church building is located on the corner of Pieter de Hoochstraat and Pieter de Hoochweg, designed by the architect Jan Verheul. The hall church with a small tower and neo-Gothic elements was built in 1913. The old church building on the Haringvliet was then demolished and the 18th-century church organ moved to the School Hall of Eton College, where it is still in use as the "Dutch organ" .
