The Museum Steam Depot of the Dutch Steam Foundation has an exhibition space with a model railway and various objects that provide an impression of how things used to be on the railways.

The Museum Steam Depot of the Dutch Steam Foundation has an exhibition space with a model railway and various objects that give an idea of how things used to be on the railways. The most important thing is the workshop where you can see how the volunteers are working to keep their collection of steam locomotives and the carriages that go with them, or to make them roadworthy if necessary. Also, a steam train leaves the depot several times a year on the main track for a short or longer journey with passengers; then the steam era, the glory days of the famous express trains, comes back to life.

The Steam Depot is a working museum. You can see the volunteers at work maintaining the locomotives and carriages.

Accompanied by an SSN employee, you can take a tour of the workshop and the outdoor area. He/she will tell you all the ins and outs about the SSN, its history and activities and of course the collection.
