From March 22, 2025, Portlantis will take you on an exciting journey through the port of Rotterdam.

This experience centre brings together everything about the port. It will be an exciting destination where you can discover how the port works, what it means for our daily lives and what the port of the future will look like.

Soon you will experience the port in surprising ways. You will make your voyage of discovery with the help of augmented reality, labs where you can do technical and chemical experiments yourself, a spectacular tour with which you make a dizzying flight - fasten your seatbelts! - through the entire port and models of ships, trains and trucks.

Touring the port of Rotterdam with a guide

Those who dare to take on the real deal can go on an expedition by bus, ship or on foot. Our guides will take you past the fences into the harbour area. There is also plenty to discover on and around the building. Via the gigantic red stairs that frame the building you conquer the panorama deck. You can take walks on the beach, go on a fossil expedition, make a stopover during your bike ride or reserve a table with a breathtaking view in our restaurant on the fourth floor.

A visit to Portlantis and the harbour guarantees overwhelming impressions. We create tailor-made programmes in which all offered activities and facilities such as our halls, the cinema and the restaurant can be used. Portlantis has sufficient parking space for cars and coaches.
