Park Pompenburg is a stone's throw from the Hofplein, between Kabouterdorp and the Hofpoort.

What was the bustling city center of Rotterdam before the war was, until recently, just a warehouse located between busy roads and the railway. This area will be transformed, partly by its future users, into an urban park that will provide space for a large mix of functions: recreation, urban agriculture, sports, a sunbathing lawn, a playground, places for picnics and a circular square. The basis of the park is a grid that divides the park into programmatic islands.

With the adjacent roof gardens, the roof of the Hofplein Station and the Luchtsingel, the Pompenburg park becomes a three-dimensional urban landscape. It forms an important link in the Luchtsingel project, which connects three Rotterdam districts with each other with footbridges.
