Museum Park

The Museum Park is divided into four zones: a paved zone, a romantic zone, an asphalted city zone and a sleek orchard.

Open air museum

The Museum Park is located on the former estate of the Van Hoboken family, who lived in the villa that now houses the Natural History Museum Rotterdam. The park has been designed by city architect Witteveen since 1927. In addition, a monument has been constructed on the south side of the pond in the park for Gerrit de Jongh, former director of Municipal Works Rotterdam. The park contains various works of art, meaning that the museum park also functions as an open-air museum.
