There was never any fighting here, but the fort played a crucial role in the Second World War. The contemporary exhibition shows video fragments from the period of the German occupation from 1940 to 1945. There is also a film about the Atlantic Wall and the last cabinet meeting of the Geer II cabinet on 13 May, 1940, before they left for England.
