At Diergaarde Blijdorp (Rotterdam Zoo) you will discover all the beauty that nature has to offer. Meet the red pandas in the Himalayas and the giraffes and zebras on the savannah in Africa. You can't miss the Oceanium: the iconic shark tunnel crosses through the largest aquarium for fish species from the North Sea. Besides that Diergaarde Blijdorp is home to 21 national monuments.

Diergaarde Blijdorp is not just a park where you can see wild animals; this zoo is actively committed to their survival, to preserving biodiversity, restoring ecosystems and promoting sustainability. Diergaarde Blijdorp's vision is to have played a key role in saving ten endangered animal and plant species by 2050.
Your visit
Diergaarde Blijdorp (Rotterdam Zoo) is open seven days a week. From the backside of Rotterdam Central Station the zoo is on 10 minutes walkings distance. There is also a large car park where visitors can park for 12,50 euro per day. To make your visit even more complete you can book a guided tour or download the Blijdorp app. For food and drinks there are several restaurants and stalls throughout the zoo.

Blijdorp zoo launches interactive experience
With Expedition Blijdorp, Blijdorp Zoo is the first zoo in the Netherlands to launch an interactive experience focusing on education and game elements. As soon as the visitor enters Blijdorp, the app opens a world full of routes, challenges, stories and home assignments.
