Chabot Museum Rotterdam

The Chabot Museum is an intimate museum with a varied international exhibition program.

Henk Chabot

The Chabot Museum manages one of the most important collections of painter and sculptor Henk Chabot (1894-1949), a Dutch expressionist. As a painter of farmers and gardeners, of the Dutch landscape and of refugees and people in hiding during the war years, Chabot has his own place within Dutch modern art.

Monumental white villa

The museum is located in the monumental white villa from 1938, which, like Sonneveld House, the Van Nelle Factory and Feijenoord Stadium, is one of the highlights from the era of the Nieuwe Bouwen era. That is why the museum also organizes guided tours of the UNESCO World Heritage Van Nelle Factory every weekend.

Museum Quarter

The Chabot Museum is located in the Museum Quarter, at the Museum Park and can be reached by metro, tram line 7 or 20 (Eendrachtsplein stop). It is about a 10-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station. Diagonally opposite the Chabot Museum is the Museumpark parking garage.

Groups of up to 15 people can be guided around by an expert guide. Reservations must be made for this.
