Bibliotheek Zuidplein

This brand new library can be found in the new building of Theater Zuidplein on Annie MG Schmidtplein. The building will become the cultural hotspot of South Rotterdam where people can meet and enjoy performances, events and good food.

The new Zuidplein library and the new Zuidplein Theater have been completed. The library, located on Annie MG Schmidtplein, together with the two theaters and a cafe-restaurant, forms a vibrant living room in the South. It is a place to stay, in the middle of the Hart van Zuid, where it is all about making connections and working together.

The new building with theater and library is located right next to the bus and metro station opposite Swimming Center Rotterdam. Due to the special open-work facade and the open entrance with a high reception hall, people from the outside can see what is happening inside and they feel welcome. In the living room in the reception hall, everyone can walk in to sample the theatre, the library and activities such as shows, performances by bands or a DJ session.
