World champion Lukas Podolski brings his doner concept to Alexandrium

Lukas Podolski won the 2014 World Cup as a striker on the German team. But he has also been a döner expert for many years. With entrepreneur Metin Dag, he started Mangal Döner X Lukas Podolski10 in 2016. It already has nearly 50 restaurants in 20 German cities and now the first international branch has opened in the Alexandrium Shopping Centre.

At 260 Schorpioenstraat, the concept can now be found with the motto: "We don't make everything different, just better."

Host at the new restaurant in Rotterdam is Bahadir Tasören. The experienced entrepreneur knows the catering market inside out and explains: "Döner is one of the most popular meals in Germany and now we serve it authentically and uniquely in the Netherlands. With us, guests will find exactly what they expect from a real doner: a freshly prepared meal from high-quality ingredients - in short, a quality doner from a true legend."

Podolski's special spice mix

The new restaurant, with an area of 120 m² and 44 seats, has a sleek, warm and stylish interior and around 14 staff who prepare dishes fresh with home-baked bread, tender meat, crisp salad and Podolski's special spice mix.
