Woei, Jelmer Konjo and De Bonte Koe welcome Uniqlo to Rotterdam

The opening date of Uniqlo on Binnenwegplein has been announced. The popular Japanese retail chain will open its doors in Rotterdam on 10 October. Especially for the occasion, collaboration has been sought with Rotterdam entrepreneurs for unique products.

Along with the LifeWear range for women, men and children, the UTme!-service will be introduced in Rotterdam, a service that allows customers to design their own unique T-shirts by combining images, text and illustrations in any way they wish. As part of UNIQLO's LifeWear philosophy of connecting with local communities, the brand aims to continuously collaborate with local creatives and businesses to design special T-shirts that will be available exclusively to show their pride for the city.

Especially for the opening, cooperation has been sought with some well-known Rotterdam entrepreneurs. Rotterdam chocolatier De Bonte Koe, known for the viral Dubai bar, will delight customers in the shop with their range of handmade chocolates.

Woei and Uniqlo join forces for a limited-edition UTme! design, available exclusively at the Rotterdam shop at Lijnbaan 177.

Rotterdam-based artist Jelmer Konjo is known for his colourful works in which he experiments with recognisable shapes and challenging compositions. At the new Rotterdam shop, customers can discover limited edition UTme! designs by the Rotterdam-based artist in which the urban vibrancy of Tokyo and Rotterdam come together. The first 100 customers to enter the shop on 3 October will also receive an exclusive totebag as a gift.

''We look forward to making our LifeWear, clothing designed to make people's lives better, available in a new city and becoming part of these communities by collaborating with local creatives and businesses, in line with our Japanese origins. The new shop will offer a wide range of products along with special services and we are excited to introduce it to our Dutch and international customers," said Kaman Leung, Chief Operating Officer of Uniqlo BENELUX.
