Wake Up Your Mind! presents creative expression in Laurenskerk
The historic Laurenskerk will transform into a lively cultural meeting place on 2 September. Wake Up Your Mind! presents a free inspirational evening of creative expression and a collection of artworks, music, storytelling and films, all created by young people from both Dutch and refugee backgrounds.
Over four months, under the guidance of Refugee Council Netherlands, these young people have brought their stories to life in a variety of ways. This evening offers a special opportunity to discover and celebrate their rich and diverse perspectives.
There will be an exhibition of artworks representing young people's thoughts, emotions and dreams. There will be performances by various young artists and young people will tell inspiring personal stories about their experiences. The experiences are also showcased with film.
The evening is also a chance to learn more about Wake Up Your Mind! - a movement that inspires and motivates young people to make their voices heard and develop their talents.
