Volbeat visits Rotterdam Ahoy on 22 October

Danish heavy metal band Volbeat will release their ninth studio album God Of Angels Trust on 6 June. Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar), Jon Larsen (drums) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) consciously abandoned traditional songwriting rules during the writing process and took a new, fresh approach. The result can be heard live in Ahoy on 22 October. Bush and Gel will provide the support act. Ticket sales start on Friday 14 March at 10:00 a.m. via this link.

Volbeat was formed in Denmark in 2001 by Michael Poulsen. The band is known for their unique blend of heavy metal, rockabilly and hard rock, influenced by artists such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Metallica. Their breakthrough came in 2007 with the album Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil, which reached number one on the Danish charts.

Since then, Volbeat has achieved worldwide success with albums like Beyond Hell/Above Heaven (2010) and Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (2013), in which they scored major hits and collaborated with artists like King Diamond and Rob Caggiano. The band has multiple No.1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts.
