Visit over 40 Rotterdam architecture firms on Open Office Day

As part of Rotterdam Architecture Month, nearly 40 Rotterdam architecture firms opened their doors to the public on Saturday 22 June. Ranging from large and well-known such as Powerhouse Company, KCAP and MVRDV to somewhat younger smaller firms such as HA-HA and ArchitectuurMAKEN. The Open Office Day is organised by AIR - Architectuur Instituut Rotterdam and can be visited on your own or with a tour.

Rotterdam is an important breeding ground for both young and established design firms, working together on a variety of complex local, national and international spatial issues. During the Open Bureau Day, everyone can learn about innovations, experimentation and renewal in design practice. On this day, you can walk around freely at all the offices. Some offices also offer a programme, such as a film screening or a lecture.

Open Office Day Guided Tours

Some agencies are also part of a tour. During these specially curated tours, you get the chance to visit several bureaus and experience the diversity of Rotterdam's design firms. Visitors can choose from four tours: Lloydkwartier, Noord, Stadsdriehoek and Zuid. Signing up for a tour costs €3.50 and can be done via the website.
