The best adventure films shown at Theater Zuidplein

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival has been taking place in Canada's Rocky Mountains for over 40 years. The festival is a popular meeting place for outdoor fans and filmmakers. To ensure that all adventurers and nature lovers from around the world can see it, Banff is going on tour. On 13 March, a selection of the best films will be shown at Theater Zuidplein. Tickets are available via this link.

During the Banff Tour, five short documentaries dealing with nature and outdoor adventures will be screened including Farming Turns, A Team Sport and Going East.

Farming Turns is about well-known freeskier Chris Rubens who completely turns his life around after a skiing trip in Greenland. When he sees first-hand the effects of climate change there, he decides to travel less, eat less meat and even start his own organic farm. With no farming experience whatsoever.

A Team Sport follows ultra-runner Courtney Dauwaler, one of the greatest sports heroes of all time. She is the first person to win the Triple Crown of ultra-running, completing and winning three races of more than 160 kilometres each in a row.

In Going East, the visitor goes out with four freeriders who take a very special ski trip to Eastern Europe, using public transport exclusively. They meet local freeriders who take them to their favourite spots in the mountains.
