Since its inception in 2003, CinemAsia has been a leading platform for Asian storytelling and representation in the Netherlands. Seven Asian films will be screened over the weekend, ranging from blockbusters and arthouse to independent productions and restored classics. There are films from Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam, highlighting unique cultural perspectives and the diversity of Asian stories.

The festival opens on Friday 11 April with an exclusive premiere of Regretfully at Dawn (2024) by Thai director Sivaroj Kongsakul, to celebrate the start of Songkran (Thai New Year). Earlier, Kongsakul's debut feature Eternity (2010) won the prestigious Rotterdam Tiger Award at IFFR. The programme then continues with an exciting film selection, including award-winning titles and deeply personal stories.
