Skateland Rotterdam has been rolling for 25 years

At the end of November 1999, the indoor skate park opened its doors in the challenging Feijenoord district. After Nestlé sold the coffee warehouse for the symbolic amount of 1 guilder. Skatepark Skateland Rotterdam is now one of the largest indoor skate parks in the Benelux and a popular spot for street culture. On 23 and 24 November and the following December, the 25th anniversary will be celebrated with performances, skating and BMX workshops for kids and competitions. On Saturday 23 November, for example, the Rotterdam Open Skateboard Contest will be organised for the second time with international participants!

Following the successful introduction of the Rotterdam Open Skateboard Contest in 2023, top skateboarders from across Europe and beyond will compete on Saturday 23 November between 11am and 2pm. Participants in 2023 included Argentinian Matías Dell Ollio, who reached the final at the Paris Olympics. There is prize money but a car can also be won. Entry for visitors is free and free skateboard workshops for kids are also on offer. In the evening, there will be a free performance by MALAD! With a mix of street punk and hardcore.
