Schiecentrale transformed into Greek village for Mamma Mia! The Party

After Stockholm and London, Mamma Mia! The Party can now also be admired in Rotterdam. In the coming months, the Schiecentrale will be the venue for the lavish show featuring ABBA's greatest hits. This building in the Lloyd Quarter in the city on the Maas is the perfect location for Mamma Mia! This is the location where Mamma Mia! The Party will fully come into its own,'' producer Just Entertainment informed.

The historic building recreates a large Greek village on Skopelos. Down to the last detail, visitors imagine themselves on that Greek island.

Voulez-Vous, Dancing Queen and, of course, Mamma Mia!

While a 4-course dinner is served, ABBA's well-known songs such as Waterloo, Super Trouper, Voulez-Vous, Dancing Queen and, of course, Mamma Mia! are performed. This will be followed by a smashing afterparty. Actors include Anouk Maas, Kaj van der Voort, Horace Cohen, Jeannine La Rose and Belle Zimmerman.

The Schiecentrale

The Schiecentrale in Rotterdam is the place to be these days. Many Rotterdammers remember the buildings, built in 1904, as their city's very first electricity factory. The Schiecentrale is located in the middle of the Lloydkwartier, an area where trade was conducted as early as the seventeenth century. Due to industrialisation and growth of world trade, the Schiehaven, Sint-Jobshaven and Parkhaven - together the Lloydkwartier - were built here around 1900. In 1999, the transformation of the former port area into a new city port started. A tough and raw residential area overlooking the river Maas. Moreover, a vibrant breeding ground for the creative industry. The Schiecentrale transformed with it and became a hotspot and architectural icon. The Schiecentrale had previously been the stage for the Rotterdam Drag Show, for instance.
