Rotterdam Street Culture Week Festival bursts onto the Delftsehof this year
Rotterdam Street Culture Week Festival is the place where the crème de la crème of street culture comes together: from food and fashion to art, music, gaming and sports. After previous successful editions in Rotterdam Zuid, this year RSCW moves to the city centre. From Friday 23 to Sunday 25 August, RSCW Festival will take place at the Delftsehof.
Meet up-and-coming talents and world leaders, as well as influencers from the Rotterdam, Dutch and international street culture scene. Count on good vibes, good food, music, impressive battles, inspiring workshops and more. Dive into Rotterdam Street Culture, experience and participate yourself.
Urban sports competitions
RSCW will host the big urban sports moment that all street football fans have been looking forward to for months: the World Panna Knock Out Championship. Here, the best panna players will play against each other, including world champion Mehdi Amri. In addition, Concrete Lions' 3x3 Basketball Tournament with local, national and international top players will be held at the Delftsehof. And Roffa Breaking puts world champion Menno van Gorp in action. He is one of the scene's most successful b-boys and has even qualified for the 2024 Olympics. TNT battles also return this year. Here you can witness battles between six different disciplines: breakdance, freerunning, tricking, calisthenics, hip-hop and freestyle football. The freerun, BMX and skate areas will be open to everyone who wants to discover their own skills.
Streetwear, performances and workshops
Fashion lovers beware. Discover emerging Rotterdam fashion brands showcasing their streetwear on the catwalk. Throughout the day, a line-up of artists, bands and DJs will provide a cool experience. Enjoy spoken word, dance performances and battles, producers from the scene and game against e-sports professionals. You can also get inspired at workshops and sessions on various topics. But you yourself can also be part of the festival by showcasing your own talents on the open-mic stage.
RSCW activations
Rotterdam Street Culture Week organises several activations with various programme elements. On 9 August, Skateland will give a Girls Only Skate workshop. During Tour de France Femmes on 11 August, DJ Stayfun will perform a rollerskate show on the track with his show team. In addition, three flatland BMX'ers will entertain the audience with all kinds of tricks all over the course (between 11:00 - 14:00). On 13 August, Skateland on Westblaak will provide workshops and shows on stunt stepping, skateboarding and BMX'ing (between 12:00 - 15:00). During the week of 19 August, there will be an RSCW activation at Rotterdam Centraal. In addition, RSCW Festival can be found on Open Monumentendag and Wereldhavendagen.
