Man met bril Coffee has opened the world's first Coffee Hotel
Man met Bril Coffee has opened the long-awaited Coffee Hotel at Linker Rottekade. The hotel, the first of its kind in the world, is a unique place where coffee, hospitality and culture come together. Inside, there is of course a specialty coffee bar but also a roastery, a training room, meeting rooms, a podcast studio, an event space and soon restaurant Bar Dertien and 15 hotel rooms to book.
With the hotel, Man With Glasses Coffee aims to become a hotspot for European coffee culture, welcoming international guests and professionals as well as locals. Through its residency programme, the coffee roaster welcomes top baristas and roasters from all over the world. They stay to live and work at the hotel for a while, sharing their knowledge, ideas and passion for coffee with each other and others.
At the same time, the Coffee Hotel is a meeting place for the neighbourhood, where visitors can learn all about coffee but also just eat, drink and relax. The hotel features a Man With Glasses Coffee bar and kitchen. But with a twist. The coffee bar will be home to Frank, an espresso machine by Kees van der Westen. This machine combines three infusion and extraction methods and there is also a separate hand-brew bar for filter coffee.
The hotel will be open from 7am to 5pm. For drinks and dinner, guests can soon visit Bar Thirteen, which will remain open later.
