More and more indoor festivals in Rotterdam

Before the outdoor season really starts, there are still a number of indoor festivals. It has been a trend lately for organisers to offer large daytime events at indoor venues with impressive line-ups. Some parties known for outdoor festivals are doing a smaller indoor festival and in contrast, organisers of small parties are scaling up.

Bombshell in Maassilo (March 22)

Things are already going strong at the Maassilo at 1pm during Bombshell. Under the banner: I Wanna Play A Game, there will be rough play on two stages. So expect mostly hardstyle and hardstyle, and related relentless styles.

On the mainstage, backs-to-backs include Aversion b2b Unresolved, Cold Confusion b2b Physika and Deluzion b2b Rejecta,Nightcraft b2b Rogue Zero and Level One b2b Cryex.

The second stage is the domain of Tharoza. The DJ is known for bouncy uptempo and has invited Partyraiser, Rosbeek, Akimbo Kaimera, Madmike, among others.

MAAS Open Air at Cruise Terminal (March 29)

After successful editions at the Maaskantine and Hal4 aan de Maas, MAAS Open Air crosses the Maas to the Kop van Zuid. On 29 March, there will be an indoor edition at the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam from 16.00. The line-up features some of today's leading artists, including Benny Rodrigues, Dart and Lucky Done Gone. L.P. Rhythm will spin an explosive mix of 90s house, hard house and everything in between. Also present will be Daf, Rozie, Jamback and Boss Priest. Complemented by a light show, the young organisers will put on their biggest production to date.

Afterparty

The festival lasts until midnight. But for those who still want to continue, there is an afterparty at 160 K. Featuring Julian Anthony and local DJs Christopher and Fabio Santos.

Rotterdam Rave 'Spring Special' 2025 at Maassilo (29 March)

For over a decade, Rotterdam Rave has been putting the city on the map by bringing the biggest international names within techno to Rotterdam venues. On 29 March, there will be an edition at the Maassilo. With many names that have not been present before and a special Face 2 Face room. Among others, 6EJOU, Cynthia Spiering, Durdenhauer, Klofama, Lammer, Ketting, SANTØS and Winson will come to spin.

Rotterdam Rave takes place between 15.00 and 23.00. Afterwards, there will be an afterparty from 23.59. Again in the Maassilo with Cynthia Spiering, Afem Syko, Klofama, Kuko and Karah.

Day Butterfly Festival in Submarine Wharf (5 April)

Dagvlinder Festival brings together music, art and connection. In the Onderzeebootloods, an intimate setting is created with a hefty line-up: AAT, Benny Rodrigues, Charman, Chico Rose, DAF, Dennis Quin, Joëlla Jackson, Karim Soliman, Marsolo, Job de Jong, Menesix, Michel de Hey, Nic Fanciulli, Rooléh, Ruze and Tomi & Kesh will spin their house, techno and more.

There will be a Day Butterfly Stage and a Night Butterfly Stage. the latter will be hosted by Taboo. Taboo then moves straight on to Now&Wow afterwards. It will be the official afterparty from 23:00 with Menesix, Tomi & Kesh, Rayzir, Chico Rose, Boris Ross and Vlado.

Liquicity in Maassilo (12 April)

Across Europe, Liquicity organises events that revolve around drum & bass. On 12 April, it is time for a Spring Festival at the Maassilo from 14.00, featuring Koven, Culture Shock, Maduk, Elipsa, Freaks & Geeks, Astronymous, Ipkiss, Rhode and Voxi, among others.

Boogie Loft at Nhow (5 April)

The organisers of Boogie Express have been going for a number of years. Starting with intimate parties and then also responsible for the Boogie Festival at Stadshaven Brewery twice already. On 19 July is the new edition. But first there is Boogie Loft at a location not often used for parties. From 17.00, Nhow Rotterdam is the destination. On the sixth floor is a 700-square-metre loft that will be made available to party for one evening. Boogie Loft will last until 23:00. The doors close at 20:00.

Glow in the Dark 'Easter Special' in Maassilo (19 April)

Glow in the Dark stands for a unique combination of tech-house and techno in a fully decorated Maassilo. Besides the whole Maassilo being decorated, there is the possibility for visitors to get painted with glow in the dark paint and there are acts for further entertainment. Glow organises three events every year, each with its own theme: Crazy Carnival, Halloween and Easter. On 19 April, there will be an Easter edition from 2pm to 11pm. Each theme creates a different atmosphere, with the Maassilo being suitably decorated each time.

The line-up includes Technika, Blurredmovement, Torsten, SANTØS, Jånks, Karim Soliman, Lammer, Lisa Korver, LOZO, Noël Dekkers and Yung Felix.

Moon Indoor Festival at Now&Wow Club (20 April)

On Easter Sunday, Now&Wow is the setting for MOON, an initiative by Sam Blans. There will be techno and house sounds and a light show. The full line-up will be announced latyer.
