IID Company presents their new platform at Dansateliers: W.I.P Lab
Rotterdam-based dance company IID Company, led by Remy Tilburg and Robin Kroes, will present their new platform, W.I.P Lab (Work Intimately for Progressing Laboratory), at Dansateliers on 22 and 23 March. W.I.P Lab gives young dancers the chance to further develop themselves and find their place in the professional field.
From W.I.P Lab, the performance The Soul of Dominique has now emerged. The performance explores what it feels like to be fully in the moment and reminds us that even in a world full of heaviness and loss, hope is always present. The performance premiered on Saturday 15 March at Portugal's Lugar Futuro Festival in Viseu and now the dance performance will be performed in Rotterdam on 22 March (20.00) and 23 March (16.00) .
In the performance, five dancers take visitors to moments of pure ecstasy, where life is celebrated and all the senses are stimulated. The Soul of Dominique explores what it feels like to be fully in the moment and reminds that even in a world full of heaviness and loss, hope is always present.
About W.I.P Lab
W.I.P Lab offers young dancers a springboard to the professional field. In this unique annual programme, under the guidance of choreographers Robin Kroes and Remy Tilburg, they are given plenty of room to reinvent themselves. Through intensive rehearsals and creative experiments, they develop their own dance language and artistic identity. All this leads to a professional dance performance in which the audience is introduced to the future of the Rotterdam dance scene.
