For spring, the Candlelight concerts will also be enriched with flowers
On 3 April and 9 May, the Laurenskerk will host the annual spring editions of Candlelight. Normally, the concerts take place in the light of thousands of candles. The performances of music by Queen, ABBA and Coldplay, among others, and iconic soundtracks from films and series by the Agathe Ensemble will also take place in floral decorations because of spring.
On 3 April, Candlelight Spring: Hans Zimmer takes place from 21:00. On 9 May, it's Candlelight Spring: Coldplay meets Imagine Dragons from 21:15. Tickets are available on the Fever platform.
Candlelight aims to democratise access to classical music and attract a wider audience, including people who have never experienced a concert in this genre before. Besides regular concerts in more than 150 cities worldwide, the concert series offers special performances throughout the year, such as Candlelight Christmas, featuring classic carols and soundtracks of Christmas films, thematic Halloween concerts, the Valentine's Day special and summer concerts in a number of cities at unique open-air venues.
