Faive gets you running in a festival atmosphere during first Run Festival
Faive Running is a young Rotterdam-based organisation that takes running events to the next level by putting experience at its heart. Founders Jos, Yannick and Frank have their roots in nightlife and translate the energy, atmosphere and creativity of that world to running. On Sunday 7 September, the Van Nelle Fabriek will be the setting for their very first Run Festival in the Netherlands. A limited number of tickets are available for the first edition. Interested parties can register via this link.
Organiser Faive Running combines the adrenaline of a run with the atmosphere and creativity of nightlife. For example, with a coffee lab by A Matter of Concrete, a pop-up club with DJs who also run themselves and food trucks, shops and wellness activities.
"People are looking for new ways to get together and experience something special, but don't want to sacrifice health or sleep in the process," explains Yannick Alsemgeest, co-founder of Faive Running. "By combining the atmosphere and creativity of nightlife with an accessible running event, we hope to give a fresh impetus to the way we go out and exercise."
Besides the sporting side and the festival experience, Faive Running aims to appeal to a wider audience. "We hope to get as many people moving as possible, in a way that is fun and approachable," continues Yannick. "Therefore, in addition to the 5K run, we also organise a Kids Run for the youngest enthusiasts. Those who prefer to be on the sidelines are of course welcome: for a small fee or as a guest of a participant (each starting ticket entitles two supporters). This way, we create space for everyone to enjoy the music, the food trucks and the special atmosphere-even if you are not running yourself."
