British folk band The Odd Folk cycles 400 km and makes stopover at Hostel Room

Hostel Room is a member of Bikepacking Holland, a network of sustainable hostels where bicycle travellers are welcome. The hostel will therefore be a stopover for The Odd Folk on 26 March. The British folk band will travel 400 km across the Benelux with their instruments on the bike's luggage rack, performing eight gigs along the way.

Inspired by Cycle for Change, a movement promoting sustainable travel, The Odd Folk will show that music and adventure go hand in hand with positive impact. By choosing to cycle instead of a polluting tour bus, they discover new places in a conscious and environmentally friendly way.

Bikepacking Holland Bikepacking Holland makes it possible to discover the Netherlands by bike through a network of hospitable, sustainable hostels. Cyclists can plan their own route and enjoy unique accommodation spots and the most beautiful cycling routes along the way.

Mirjam Verschoor, co-owner of Hostel ROOM Rotterdam and initiator of Bikepacking Holland, is enthusiastic about The Odd Folk's Green Tour: ''Bikepacking is really for everyone! Cycling and music have a lot in common: they bring people together, give freedom and make life just a little bit nicer. The fact that The Odd Folk is doing their tour by bike fits this idea perfectly!"

Morgan Val Baker, band member of The Odd Folk: "The Odd Folk's Green Tour is a wonderful reminder that music and adventure can go hand in hand with sustainability. By swapping the tour bus for bikes, we are not only bringing their music to people, but also making a statement about conscious travel and the joy of the journey itself."

Valerie van Roey, singer-songwriter and support act of The Odd Folk: "The Odd Folk's Green Tour combines music with sustainable travel, thanks to partners like Bikepacking Holland. With eco-friendly hostels and like-minded groups, we show that live music and low-impact adventure go hand in hand, making touring greener and more rewarding."
