AD Sports Film Festival Rotterdam: Special Edition Tour de France Femmes
This year, the AD Sportfilmfestival Rotterdam has a special edition because of this year's Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift taking place in Rotterdam. From June to August, you can enjoy four evenings of cycling films and documentaries at Cinerama Filmtheater.
Programme highlights
Monday 3 June: A Sunday In Hell - This film follows the legendary Paris-Roubaix cycling race, known as "The Hell of the North". The film shows the 1976 edition with icons such as Eddy Merckx and Roger De Vlaeminck and gives an intense look at the challenges of the cobbled roads in northern France. Special guest: Roger De Vlaeminck
Wednesday 19 June:New Heroes - This documentary follows Dutch cycling team Argos-Shimano during the 2013 Tour de France. The team proves that success is possible without doping and wins four stages. Special guests: Tom Dumoulin, Marcel Kittel, John Degenkolb
Monday 1 July:Complimenti Johan van der Velde - A compelling portrait of cycling legend Johan van der Velde. The story covers his successes, personal struggles and eventual comeback. Special guest: Johan van der Velde
Monday 5 August: Flandrien- This film delves into the rich cycling history of Flanders and follows the Tour of Flanders. With contributions from famous cyclists who have been given the honorary title of 'Flandrien'. Special guest: Johan Museeuw
Each evening is presented by Wilfried de Jong, with special guests such as Roger De Vlaeminck and Tom Dumoulin. These evenings are perfect for cycling fans and culture enthusiasts!
