Zwerfhonden

“Ouch!” cried the Tsar when a dog bit him in the leg for no reason. Was it coincidence or intentional?

'Zwerfhonden' is loosely translated as 'The dog that bit the tsar in his leg' by Toon Tellegen (Em Querido's Uitgeverij, Amsterdam). It is an exciting, musical dance performance with polyphonic barking and growling dog choirs, arias and duets.

Unique to 'Zwerfhonden' is that accessibility is fully integrated into the performance and the interactive pre-program. A choir that gives the dance a voice, a sign language interpreter in the role of reporter, an extra dimension through scents and interactive video animations as visual support take you along in the story.
