14-year-old Elias is attracted to his new neighbor Alexander, which turns his world upside down. In Young Hearts, director Anthony Schatteman lovingly shows the inner struggle and confusion of a first love.

14-year-old Elias grows up in a loving family in a quiet Belgian village. His father is a famous schlager singer, Elias has many friends and a girlfriend named Valerie. But when he befriends his new neighbor, Elias' world is turned upside down. He feels attracted to the cool and free Alexander. Elias realizes that he is truly in love for the first time, but he does not want to be 'different'. His inner struggle and blossoming feelings take him into a whirlwind of emotions. Does Elias dare to be himself and embrace his feelings of love?

Young Hearts is the feature film debut of Belgian director Anthony Schatteman and lovingly explores the overwhelming and confusing experience of first love.
