World Sessions presents Loek van den Berg

World Sessions pairs young talent with well-known names from the scene and challenges them to give a special concert.

This edition of Worldsessions will be led by Loek van den Berg. Loek plays saxophone and Duduk, and is mainly known for the Loek van den Berg Quintet, with which he won several awards, including the Edison Jazz Award for best newcomer. Loek has always had a fascination for different musical styles besides Jazz, such as (Armenian and Iranian) folk music and flamenco. During this edition you will hear a mix of these styles.
