Workshop Kijk & Rijm (voor volwassenen) ^{voor volwassenen}

The theme of Poetry Week 2025 is 'corporeality'. A theme that fits our museum, with all its furs, skins and bodies, like a glove. Together with writer Judith de Witte you will work with our collection and the appearance of various animals and plants. The museum is full of stuffed animals, skeletons, pinned insects, fossils with interesting stories and spirit jars with contents. There is plenty to see for inspiration. Judith gives you tools on how to tackle this and how you can eventually get a poem on paper.

In this workshop you will look differently at the physicality of and with animals and learn to translate this into words. You will start with the basics of rhyming and go home with a poem, of course made by yourself. If you have enough time, you can, just like Judith does, possibly provide your poem with an illustration.
