Wild Romance

The legendary Wild Romance keeps on writing history: the sweat of the insane Shpritsz tour has not dried yet and the next fat new album is already on its way! And that is celebrated with the Suburban tour, where the best songs of Herman Brood and his Wild Romance are supplemented with many other top Hitsz and contemporary hits. It will be a big party of recognition with all those nice memories and emotions.

When you think of Wild Romance, you first think of the golden period of the late seventies and early eighties. Herman Brood and his Wild Romance grew into rock stars like the Netherlands had never known, with albums like Shpritsz and Cha Cha and hits like Saturday Night, Dope Sucks, Rock & Roll Junkie, Never Be Clever and Still Believe. But now they are back, back from never really being away.

The real fans understand it immediately. You were standing in line at Paradiso, Luxor, Huize Maas or Quasimodo. The band's black truck was already there. In the distance you heard rumbling. The sound that is just as rock 'n roll as a Les Paul through a Marshall: a low growling, rumbling American V8. Around the corner appeared a large, sinister, black, American SUV. A Chevrolet Suburban. And you knew it: The Wild Romance is in the house!

Suburban. A well-chosen name for a well-chosen car, because Herman felt at his best in the American suburbs, the dangerous outskirts, doin' nothin' just hangin' 'round with the outsiders, the misfits, the creatives, the danger, booze, drugs, the neon lights of the Open All Night, and the best soul music from the jukebox. The Wild Romance now brings that danger back to the stage. We can already hear the legendary Chevy approaching.
