Wijkwandeling Charlois - Stemmen van de Razzia

  • Diverse
  • Exhibition
  • Routes
  • Free

Walk along characteristic places during the raid of Rotterdam and Schiedam in this district, such as a small part of the route to the Rhine barges. The walker gets fragments of the stories of Leendert Hordijk and Pieter van Zijl, then 18 and 40 years old when they were deported.

Accompanied by guides from the Historisch Charlois foundation and the relatives of two deported men, Fenneke Hordijk and Carolien Hoogenboom, we walk through the Oud Charlois district.

The start is at 11:00 (open from 10:45) in the Oudheidskamer at Kaatsbaan 6 in Charlois with a cup of coffee. The photo exhibition 'The difficult things of the Second World War' (in Charlois) can also be seen there.

We pass the facade poem on the Sluisjesdijk, addresses of deportees from the neighborhood, other striking places and end at the Dokhuis, where the exhibition Voices of the Razzia takes place.
