Wicked (OV) ^OV

Wicked introduces the untold story of the Witches of Oz. Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, the Broadway adaptation of The Color Purple) stars as Elphaba, a young woman insecure about her unusual green skin and who has yet to discover her true power. Grammy winner and global superstar Ariana Grande plays Glinda, a popular, privileged and ambitious young woman who has yet to discover who she really is. The two meet as students at Shiz University in the magical Land of Oz and form an unlikely but deep friendship. After an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their friendship is tested and they will take very different paths. Glinda’s desire for popularity will cause her to succumb to the temptations of power. Elphaba, on the other hand, is determined to stay true to herself and the people around her, which will have unexpected and shocking consequences for her future. After their extraordinary adventures in Oz, they would eventually become known as Glinda the Good Witch and Wicked Witch of the West.
