Who's Afraid of Oscar Wilde? - Compagnie Red Yellow & Blue

A kitchen table comedy about an (un)considered desire to have children

Vera and Sinem's desire to have children soon fails when they find out that they both want to carry the child in order to 'see their own genes again'. At the couple's regular Friday afternoon drinks with Vera's brother Bram and his friend Manu, brother and sister pitch a solution to this unfulfilled desire to have children. An out of the box plan, of which they have no idea how it will go down with their partners.

This 'comedy of the year' (NRC) about queer people in their thirties and the relationship vicissitudes of today was chosen as the 10 best of 2023 by both NRC and Het Parool.

In the press

“The writing and acting are both razor-sharp in this delightful relationship comedy.”

“The excellent text is performed razor sharply by the four actors: hilarity without losing impact.” - NRC ••••

“Great contemporary queer variation on a famous relationship drama.” - Theaterkrant (critic's choice)

“The performance provides a sharp insight into queer love in 2023. More of this please.” - Het Parool
