Lecture on the history and currentity of fascism by Dr. Daniël Knegt

During What The Fascism? historian Dr. Daniel Knegt will explain everything about the infamous ideology. From its origins in the early 20th century and the world war it led to, to its downfall and the influence the ideology still has on the world today. How do democracies become authoritarian? What can we learn from the great appeal and the great defeat of fascism in the past? And is a new fascism out of the question or a bitter reality?

Dr. Daniel Knegt is a lecturer in modern history at the history department of the University of Amsterdam. He received his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence for his research into fascism and is the author of the pocket book 'Fascism' in the series Elementaire Deeltjes.
