Wende Vrijplaats op tour
Wende is one of the most versatile artists in the Netherlands. She moves effortlessly between pop, electronic, jazz and classical, and combines these styles in groundbreaking albums and performances.
Wende's trophy cabinet reflects this diversity: she has won an Edison Award in almost every category and was nominated for a Golden Calf as an actress. This has made her a fixture in both the Dutch pop and theatre worlds for years.
Since the start of her career in 2003, Wende has created eight albums and six of her own shows, with success both at home and abroad. In 2023, she reached a new high in her career with the release of the album Sterrenlopen, which features collaborations with artists such as Froukje and S10. The album debuted at #2 in the Dutch album charts and Wende performed at Lowlands that year, among other places.
Over the past year, Wende has continued to expand her impressive oeuvre. She toured internationally with The Promise, played a second sold-out club tour of Sterrenlopen, released her latest EP Vrijplaats, and closed the year with a month of sold-out shows of Vrijplaats in Carré.
