Wende returns to the essence in Vrijplaats, a magical journey with only two pianos and her voice.
In Vrijplaats, Wende goes back to basics. In this performance, Wende changes the track into a sanctuary; a place where everything is possible. Together with keyboard player Nils Davidse, she takes the audience on a journey whose soundtrack consists of nothing more than two pianos and her voice.
Over the past year, Wende has continued to build on her impressive oeuvre. Her new EP Vrijplaats was released at the end of October 2024, with which Wende goes back to basics, just piano and her voice. Everything recorded in one take on one day.
