Three years after the start of the war in Ukraine, peace negotiations seem to be moving, but the question remains whether Putin will stick to them and what this means for the geopolitical balance of power. During War and Peace? the film Atlantis will be shown, a fictional but chillingly realistic story about a country struggling with the aftermath of the war. Former soldier Sergey and archaeologist Katia recover bodies of fallen soldiers, while Ukraine searches for a new future. Slavist Laura Starink will introduce the evening with her expertise on Russia and Ukraine, and shed light on the possible consequences of a ceasefire.
