Vogels herkennen voor beginners
Learn to identify birds with the Groen brothers and then count the birds in the Park during the weekend of the National Garden Bird Count.
Kevin and Marvin Groen take you on a journey of discovery through the Park and teach you how to recognize different birds. The course starts with a lecture about the birds in the Park and in the city and how you learn to recognize them. Then we go into the Park where you learn in practice how the Park birds move through their habitat. Are they passing through or are they permanent residents of the Park. How do they meet each other, what do they sound like and can we understand this? How do they build their nests and what are their favorite snacks throughout the seasons.
Learn the difference between the great tit and the blue tit, and discover many more bird species that you may never have noticed before.
Want to practice at home? Read the article ' Birding in the Park ' by the Groen brothers. Did you know, for example, that there is a bird that you can recognize by the mnemonic "my grandma is dead"?
You can immediately apply the knowledge you acquire during the National Garden Bird Count in the Park, this same weekend!
Brothers Groen in the Park
Kevin and Marvin Groen are twin brothers with a love for nature and a background in biology. They love to observe and show relationships between objects that are not directly visible. They do not walk on the paths through the Park, but Kevin and Marvin search closely for trees, stones, leaves to be able to observe the most beautiful natural phenomena in detail.
