Adoptees have in all cases lost family in the first years of their lives. This also applies to their language, country and culture of origin, and for many their name and identity have also been erased. Because of the positive atmosphere (the 'adoption fairy tale') that surrounded adoptions in Western countries, there was no attention for this in our youth. Now that we are adults, we realize that there must be room for mourning, for the loss of our mothers and fathers, but also for the loss of our birthplace and everything that went with it.

Tonight is all about music. Four artists from different genres with an adoption background are given the opportunity to express feelings and thoughts on the subtheme Loss.

Tonight's artists are:

Nathan Sanjaya (Sri Lanka) - Spoken word

Marcos Valster Da Costa Ferreira (Brazil) - Rap/vocals/guitar

Maya Innerforce (Colombia) - Multidimensional artist

Lizz Musica (Colombia) – Singer songwriter

The evening will be hosted by Maura Melany (Congo/Netherlands) .

We'll end the evening together with karaoke!

Tickets are free but reservations are required. We have a small venue, so if you can't make it, please let us know. We can then release your ticket for someone else.
