Between the cracks of the everyday, VanWyck searches for magical dust particles that offer a glimpse into the world behind the world: the secret of music.
“Instant classic”, wrote the music press about An Average Woman, VanWyck's first album from 2018. With her strong lyrics, catchy melodies and great band, she grew into one of the better singer-songwriters in the Netherlands with four albums. We saw that in Walhalla during one of VanWyck's earlier performances.
Together with her band, she alternates the songs from this new album with the instant classics from the previous four. A purifying evening about grand desires and everyday worries. About reaching for eternity and human failure. About constantly searching for something that is just out of your reach.
