Vangelis Sopamena - I.s.m. Vocalsz
Singer-songwriter Vangelis Sopamena grew up with both 90's R&B and the music of singer-songwriters such as Tori Amos, Björk, Alanis Morissette and George Michael.
At the age of 22, he became the vocal leader and songwriter of his own gospel group and went on to study at the Minerva Academy of Pop Culture.
As an artist, he finds it important to combine lyrics about sexuality, love and spirituality with soulful, funky grooves, which are especially evident during his live shows.
Exactly 10 years ago, Vangelis completed his live band and performed with them at the festivals North Sea Round Town, Rotterdam Unlimited, Rotterdam Pride and IFFR. He also played on stages such as Bird, Jazz Café Dizzy, De Doelen, Theater De Bakkerij, and Hostel Room.
Now it's Café Dox's turn to be turned upside down. Come and celebrate the 10th anniversary with us!
