Untitled Project - Belgrade / Rotterdam

The exhibition will take the form of a pop-up, taking place in both cities. The exhibition presents work by Kenneth Letsoin (Roterdam) and Voja Pavlovic (Belgrade). The exchange is organised and curated by Higf+.

In Belgrade the exhibition will take place at Kvaka 22 from October 18th to 20th. The exhibition will then be presented on October 25th at S/ash Gallery in Rotterdam.

Kenneth Letsoin was born in Almelo and grew up in a Moluccan community. He studied art at the AKI in Enschede, but this education offered him too few points of contact. He decided to go his own way, the street became his teacher. Kenneth mainly makes street art (murals, waste installations, advertising posters), but he also makes work in his studio. Although Kenneth is an idiosyncratic person, averse to tradition, his work is indeed based on a painting tradition.

His abstract expressionist way of working, which manifests itself in a minimalist, calligraphic and also very layered way, testifies to his craftsmanship. His impressive wall works look powerful, concentrated and dynamic.

Vojislav is a self-taught artist based in Belgrade. He has a strong connection to public space, which influences his artistic practice. His works connect through the use of different media that are superimposed, creating abstract images that connect to topics such as infrastructure, architecture and urban life.
