Uno July
We have a special artist on our stage during our weekly BIRDsessions: Uno July. He is the past, present and future of Cape Town – a groundbreaking rapper from South Africa who made his mark over ten years ago with his legendary group Ill Skillz, and broke through solo in 2015 with the hit Skelem. During his career, he has shared the stage with greats such as Lauryn Hill, Yasiin Bey and Kendrick Lamar, and collaborated with local legends such as AKA, Maglera Doe Boy and Stogie T.
Known for his innovative music, fashion collaborations and commitment to mental health, Uno remains a leading voice in the South African hip-hop scene.
Uno July is part of Rotterdam Loves…, an initiative by House of Knowledge that offers Rotterdam artists and makers a unique journey with the experience of traveling to a completely different side of the world. In 2024, ten young Rotterdam artists and makers went to Cape Town for ten days for an intensive collaboration with local talents. From Rotterdam Loves…, Cape Town artists are now returning to Rotterdam – Uno July is one of them. Don't miss this unique evening!
