Trouble in Tahiti

A swinging chamber opera for which Leonard Bernstein wrote both the libretto and the music in 1951, during... his honeymoon. The team at Studio PBA (Palais des Beaux-Arts de Charleroi, Belgium) came up with a wacky version that underlines the extent to which Sam and Dinah are victims of a social ideal that they themselves help to reinforce, and which makes the vocal trio that accompanies them a permanent spectator of their misery.
