A group of actors look back on the mass murder of psychiatric patients in Nazi Germany 80 years after the end of World War II. This heavy subject is presented in a light, personal and musical way.
In Nazi Germany, those who could not work, learn or recover were considered useless and victims of the systematic T4 euthanasia programme. In this impressive performance, the actors, who themselves experience exclusion on a daily basis, demand the right to tell this story: not about us, without us. Through a combination of historical retrospective and personal commentary, they give both victims and perpetrators a voice. The music, played on an ancient grand piano that is increasingly showing defects, serves as a powerful metaphor for vulnerability and resilience.
